First off, happy 11-12-13! I love it when there are dates like these that only happen once in a lifetime. And it turns out I’m not the only one. Over 3,000 weddings were scheduled to happen today compared to the 370 scheduled a year ago. Turns out, it’s the most romantic day this year.
11-12-13 makes this normal Tuesday a little extra special. The children born today have an awesome birth date, couples getting engaged or married will have no trouble remembering the special day (unless they are not so hot with counting up), and it was just fun to write out for the rest of us.
Of course, for those living in Europe or the UK, today was simply 12-11-13. So don’t put too much pressure on yourself to make this day special. If you missed this one, you’ve got one more chance next year on 12-13-14, the last ‘calandrical coincidence’ this century.
OK, enough numerical fun. I’ve taken inspirations from today’s daily prompt on wordpress.com. James Lipton has interviewed hundreds of actors in a classroom like setting on his television show Inside the Actors Studio. The interview is conducting on a stage facing an audience of acting students allowing them to learn and engage with successful actors. These interviews go deeper than just chatting up the current gossip and plugging their latest movie. Lipton discusses how the actor was raised and their learning experiences throughout their career
He then dives into 10 questions he asks every actor before opening the conversation to the student. My favorite interview is with Robin Williams (of course) and these are his brilliant, off the top of his head answers:
Those 10 questions I will try and answer in this blog. Hey, I can pretend to be a successful actress on an interview with Lames Lipton on 11-12-13. So here we go:
What is your favorite word? Sweet. It describes treats, cool things, and personalities so pleasantly.
What is your least favorite word? Boring. It’s offensive.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Watching an old couple walk together holding hands.
What turns you off? Someone who doesn’t care to listen.
What is your favorite curse word? Shit. It implies so many things both positive and negative.
What sound or noise do you love? A good hard laugh, especially from the people I love.
What sound or noise do you hate? A knife on a plate.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Well, still sorta trying to find my niche, but I would say I’m still striving to be a teacher (in the broadest of terms).
What profession would you not like to do? Anything disciplinary. I would just be annoyed all the time.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Your family is around back.
